The first five questions I would always ask
Before teaching anything else, every participant should be
able to answer these:
1. Who
is your ideal customer?
2. What
problem are you solving for them?
3. What
are you selling (course, software, service, or a combination)?
4. How
will your first 100 potential customers discover you?
5. Why
should someone choose your product instead of the alternatives?
If a participant cannot answer these five questions, I would
pause course creation and help them clarify their business idea first. Once
these answers are clear, the rest of the course—content creation, marketing,
and sales—becomes much easier to tailor to their goals.
