Hello Everyone,

I am Nagashwini, as I am in final year, I like to share my experience of my B.Ed journey at VTC.

First of all I like to thank all teachers of VTC, who have taught to be a dedicated, focused and committed person whilw working on any task.

I take this opportunity to say that, At VTC all teachers were very supportive and honest while doing thier teaching.

I have found good and special qualities in teacher educators at VTC. They have inspired and influenced me lot during these 2 years.

Because of this I did not think twice to miss even a single class at B.Ed.

For me B.Ed is not just a degree course, but a training, multidisiplinary and professional course.

Here we need to put extra hard work and need determination to complete the course.

My B.Ed journey started on 23-10-2019.

I attended the 4 day induction program.

On the first day, I was very thrilled to attend the assembly and learn new prayer, after long gap from school days.

In the last day of Induction program I was asked the question whether I choose to do BEd was by choice or chance?

I recall that I myslelf choose to do this course to get insight of teaching learning process these days at schools, so I can get a job in some school. Before joining this course I did not have skills to face the childrens with confidence in classroom.

After these internship activities my confidence was boosted and now I like to mention that I have acquired public speaking skills.

I recall that I participlated in SAC election and was amazed to see it was very well planned and executed so quickly using beautiful app, I thought for myself that I should learn the secreat of making such apps.

During my school days I was exposed to teacher centered classroom, after joining this course I learnt about the concept of child centered approach.

In this course I learnt about teaching startegies, involved in many activities like collage making, quiz, and debate and spent my valuable time in good environment.

When I attended the talents day, I showed all my friend that I had done embriodery, and I was bit nervous and proud at same time to showcase my talents in front of my friends.

I really enjoyed the my 1st year offline classes.

I actively participated in 2 debate competitions organized by our seniors as part of thier curriculum.

One was on AIDS day and other was traditional classes vs online classes.

By nature I argue a lot so may be that is the reason I never miss chance to participate in debate competions.

Then my visit to Chitrakala Prashid along with friends as an educational vist was a memorable experience, I really liked the gallery exhibited there.

I participated in kalagrama during new year celebration. And I enjoyed buying and eating all the foods prepared by my friends.

ICT classes held during 1st semester was very useful to me and my friends, as we learnt nice tools like video editing, audio and image editing softwares.

I also enjoyed the celebration of Mathematics day and Kuvempu day organized by our seniors and super seniors.

I also learnt Yoga from a professional yoga trainer and learnt many new things about yoga from her.

Then I got an opportunity to visit theosophical society, and attend one day conference program specially organized for student teachers. I learnt very interesting things about them and enjoyed the program.

Then I wrote 1st semester exam and was happy that I got good marks.

In 2nd semester due to COVID pandemic program, I had to attend all the classes online.

I learn all teaching skills online.

I attended online ME.d internship program, and liked their classes.

There was no exams for 2nd semester.

I also actively participated in online quiz programs link send by Teacher educators and earned few online digital certificates.

I completed all pre internship activities and submitted all assignments, Episodes, lesson plans and reports and got the 2nd semester result.

Due to teachers blessings I scored pretty well in 2nd semester.

I also attended their webniars online on NEP 2020 and H5P etc.

In 3rd semester, 

I attended offline ME.d internship program, and learnt new things like giving presentation from their classes.

During the celebration of Kuvempu day, I myself wrote a patriotic song and sung that song in group.

I did school internship program at NSVK school, Jayanagar.

I did criticism lesson at PTA school, Jayanagar and swamy vivekananda vidyashala school, near PES college.

I and my friends celebrated National youth’s day and participated in model making competition and won third prize.

Again due to raise in carona cases 3rd sem exam dated were postponed.

Our 4th sem online theory classes started, and I and my team organized quiz competition as part of K and C  syllabus.

I participated in debate and collage making competition organized by friends as part of K and C  syllabus.

In between we completed 3rd sem exam.

As part of postinternship activity, we submitted textbook analysis report and RJ.

Also completed community based activity and special school activity report.

With teachers support and guidance in sepetember I completed the practical exam at MES school jayanagar and Uttrahalli school.

Immediately after practicals, I and my friends celebrated Teachers’s day and participated in poster making competition and won second prize.

I like to thank once again VTCcollege for giving me opportunity to cherish my 2 years with wonderful VTC family.
